We are an Animal Protection Shelter registered with the State of Michigan and function under a Special Use Permit within our township.
We are located in Trufant, Michigan. The rescue is comprised of volunteers donating their time and love. We do not receive any money from city, county, state or federal governments. The volunteers are not paid except with pupster kisses and adoration.
We rescue dogs from local animal shelters, animal control facilities and private owners. All are fostered in our homes until they find their Forever Home. All vetting needs are addressed upon arrival with the appropriate follow up vet visits. We keep an update of total vetting costs at

We do adopt out of state, but request that the Adopter fly in or drive in to get the baby.

Peke A Tzu Rescue is devoted to helping all babies in need, but our hearts belong to those that need us the most…the physical and mentally challenged and the seniors. We pray every day that there is someone out there for these special babies that will take them into their hearts and homes. Until that special home comes along they are part of our family and we love them dearly. We also know when we commit to these babies that they may be here with us for the rest of their lives. We offer the sanctuary and love that they need and in return they fill our lives with joy.
We feel blessed to have these babies in our home to snuggle and love and will continue to devote our lives to those that need us the most.
A wonderful way for those of you that maintain a lifestyle that prohibits you from physically helping these sweet kids is through sponsorship. It costs over $75.00 per month to vet, groom and feed each of our Sanctuary Babies.
Our Sanctuary babies only ask for a monthly commitment on your part of $25.00.

100% of all donations are applied to our vet fund. The Director of the rescue maintains our website so that we do not have website fees with the exception of server costs. I am a handsome gold and black Yorkie boy. I was turned over by my breeder due to kennel downsizing.
I am a very sweet, lovable little boy that asks nothing more than a soft lap to lay in, belly rubs and lots of kisses. It does take me awhile to warm up to anyone I do not know. I do well with all of the other pupsters and love the soft cushy beds and all of the toys. I am a happy little boy and have a great personality. I would love a home with no small children and a fenced in area where I can romp and play.
I am working on house training and leash training and do well during grooming.
Through June 2026 the cost to meet my daily needs is $1349.00 which includes vetting, food, heartworm medication, flea protection and grooming.
